The Westmoreland County Ambulance & Rescue Association organized an EMS Day at Oak Hollow Park to kick off EMS Week. The purpose of the event was to network EMS agencies throughout Westmoreland County and to get the public out to meet their local EMS services and have the opportunity to show some of their specialized teams, training, and equipment. Various demonstrations, consisting of Rope Rescue, Water Rescue, and Vehicle Rescue were performed throughout the day. Both Stat Medevac and Life Flight were on location for tours. Participating in the days events; Murrysville Medic One, Penn Twp Ambulance, North Huntingdon Twp EMS, Jeannette EMS, Adamsburg EMS, Laurel Valley EMS, Sewickley Twp Ambulance, Trafford EMS, Mon-Valley Dive Team, Mon Valley EMS and specialized equipment from Region 4.
